Staff Bio

Edom Teka, PT, BSc.

Edom Teka did her studies at the University of Gondar, situated in the old and historic town of Gondar. She received Bachelor of Science degree in physiotherapy with a high distinction in 2019. Edom was given educational excellence awards and certificates from the collage’s dean’s office for her exceptional educational achievements. She served as vice president of Gondar University Physiotherapy Student Association. Edom is board licensed by the Federal Ministry of Health.

Experience

Edom did her internship at Tikur Anbessa Hospital where she gained clinical experience, helping patients reach their maximum potential in regards to being both mentally strong and functionally independent. During her training experience, she worked in an outpatient department in adult and pediatric clinics as well as with inpatients on the wards. She also worked at Dessie Rehabilitation center as part of her training. She has been working as a practitioner in the Gored Sholla branch of Paragon Clinic for the last two years.

Specialty

Practicing as a general physiotherapist, Edom is capable of handling all types of physiotherapy cases. She is passionate about treating patients, particularly those with musculoskeletal and neurological conditions as well as pediatric cases.

Hobby

She enjoys reading books, going to church, cooking, spending time with family and friends.
